How much do Concurrent Enrollment courses cost?
Through the 2025-26 academic year, all courses offered through Concurrent Enrollment are tuition-free. If there are any costs, please refer to your high school counselors.
I'm not planning to attend MCC after high school. Should I still take concurrent enrollment courses through MCC?
This largely depends on your intended program and transfer college after high school. Most English, Math (College Algebra and above), Science, History, Foreign Language, Political Science, and Economics courses will transfer. Refer to your college's transfer website or admissions office for additional information . Remember to note only ask if your courses will transfer but how they will transfer. This will impact how many classes you will take to complete your degree.
Are there any downsides to taking a concurrent enrollment class?
Concurrent Enrollment courses will appear on your permanent college transcript, which must be sent to any college you attend. Colleges will only accept transfer courses for credit if the earned grade is a "C" or higher.

MCC does offer free student tutoring services for all students. You can access tutoring online and in-person.
What important deadlines and registration details should I know about?
Registration details and the link to the registration form is available on your high school's page. Fall and year-long registration will open on Monday, August 18, 2025.

Students may drop the college credit for your course up to 14 days calendar days before the last day of the class. This will result in a grade of "W" on your college transcript, which stands for "Withdrawn." Courses with a grade of "W" do not impact college GPA, but they do count as attempted hours, which can impact future financial aid eligibility.

Dropping your college credit does not drop you from the high school course.
Can I use my IEP or 504 plan for concurrent enrollment classes?
Students who wish to use their IEP or 504 plan for concurrent enrollment courses must meet with MCC's Disability Services department. We recommend students do this as soon as possible to receive accommodations for their course. You might be asked to submit your IEP or 504 plan documentation after the initial meeting.
